Frequently Asked Questions
Can you clean my rug in my home?
In some very FEW exceptional cases, yes, however, cleaning your rug off site, not only ensures you that your rug is getting a proper and good thorough cleaning, but gives us the opportunity to fully inspect and test the colorfastness of your rug to prevent any problematic issues that may arise in the cleaning process. In plant cleaning provides the controlled environment needed to fully dust, wash, & dry the rug, along with any follow up spotting needed for special stains or odors. Feel free to tell us about your situation and we will advise you as best as we can.
How often should I have my rug cleaned?
Generally, a good deep cleaning of your rug should last 2-3 yrs. If you have pets or your rug is located in a high traffic area than more often. Over time, dust and oil particles settle in between and on the rug fibers which will cause the color in your rug to appear dull and if not cleaned regularly could permanently discolor the rug
My pet had an accident. What should I do?
For small pet accidents, quickly absorb the urine as soon as possible with a clean white towel. Avoid over the counter spotters as they are too harsh and may permanently set the stain or cause the colors to bleed in your rug. Spray the area with a 1:1 mixture of water and vinegar and blot. Do not rub.
For larger pet accidents we recommend that your rug is cleaned in our cleaning facility. To fully decontaminate and remove all of the bacteria and odors, it requires a full immersion process and enzyme bath that can only be done off site.
Do you charge for Rug Pick Up and Delivery?
We offer FREE Pick Up and Delivery with a minimum order of $200. If we are already providing another one of our other services at your home and can pick up the rug at that time OR if we are in your area nearby there is NO minimum order required.
Do you guarantee your work?
Why do small white spots appear on my rug after cleaning?
The video below explains what white knots are and how these white spots appear in a wool rug. Some thing to note is that these knots are not damage, it is a normal part of the weaving process. White knots are present in EVERY hand made rug.
